VISION

Making Of Architecture was founded in 2013 by Olfa Kammoun and Mohamed Bouzrara and we are based in Antwerp, Belgium.

Making Of Architecture is defining as a story telling about our architectural products. It’s a Time line of our architecture where the project evolves through a creative process.
MOA architects/Makers lead the researches to develop their design method and their own approach of making architecture.



EXPERIENCE
As a young start-up in the architecture fields, we work in collaboration with different international architecture firms such as JDS architects in Brussels and 3XN architects in Copenhagen.

We participate on many competitions and commissions in different scale - from single building to masterplans for cities - Seeking for new methods, forms & programs, our work was honoured with many prizes & published on many web & printed media.

Recently, we took part of the international French competition ‘Reinventer Paris’ launched to call for innovative urban projects and offered 23 sites to all professionals to express the future of the city of Paris. Jointly with 3XN architects we ended up with the second price for the Pershing site, running against some major architecture firms such as OMA, Sou Foujimoto and Jacques Ferrier.
With 3XN architects we collaborate on several other French competitions.

In 2015, we were purchased from the five runners up for the Europan 13 together with MLBS architects from Rotterdam. An urban-architectural competition for urban design professionals under 40, Europan 13 was focus on a major theme: Adaptable cities. Our research was concern about how vacant places could evolve to an attractive and vibrant urban space within a shared process and self-organisation.

In 2014, we collaborate with Bobby Fogel (bF architecture) and we were honoured with many prizes like the 2nd prize for the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest, the 2nd prize for the Atheletic Stadium in Brazilia and the 3rd prize for the House of Fairytale for H.Ch Anderson in Odense.



PUBLICATION
Our work received positive feedback after publications in popular on line magazines such as Archdaily, Archiscean, bustler, Archinect, A As Architecture (…) and also printed famous magazine like MARK magazine (Netherlands)or WA-wettbewerbe aktuell (Germany) and Archibat magazine (Tunisia).
We were also featured for the WAN tender Commercial award 2014 with our project the Baltic Pool Park.



LECTURE
Our successful participation in different competitions led to organizing of many lectures in ENAU ‘Ecole Nationale d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme’ in Tunis or in ISSAT ‘ Institut Supérieur des Sciences Appliquées et de Technologie’ in Sousse where we were speaking about our Making Of Architecture and sharing our vision.

Mohamed Bouzrara (1986, Tunisia) followed his architecture studies in ‘Ecole Nationale d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme’ Carthage; Tunis.

From drums vibes to architecture, today he is leading his own vision by creating Making Of Architecture together with Olfa Kammoun .

Flowing 5 years, Mohamed has international collaborations with several known firms. He participate on many competitions and commissions in different scale - from single building to masterplans for cities - Seeking for new methods, forms & programs, his works was published on many web & printed architectural magazines like Archdaily, MARK Magazine, Archibat Magazine, WA-wettbewerbe aktuell(...).
Recently he collaborate with 3XN Architects, He was involved in the Project of Reinvent Paris where he represented think- tank of 3XN and together with other prominent architecture offices contributed to development of future strategies for the city of Paris.

In 2011 he joined JDS Architects, worked as an architect and project leader for several projects. He leaded several tasks. He was mainly focused on the development of projects in France, Belgium and Turkey. Within this structure, Mohamed gained experience in terms of design method and supervision of the work on site and meetings with engineers and partners. As major project at JDS, he took part of Marina Resort project in Yumurtalic in Turkey, Adana Stadium and spotif center in Adana Turkey, or Caen masterplan an urban research for the city of Caen in France.

Olfa Kammoun (1986, Tunisia) followed her architecture studies in ‘Ecole Nationale d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme’ Carthage; Tunis.
Fascinated by design and fashion she worked as creative-assistant for ‘la Maison de couture & prét-à-porter BASMA’.

In 2010, she worked for OFF architecture in Paris.
Within this structure, She took part on several French competition such as ‘Jussieux Paris-Parc’ in collaboration with the Danish firm BIG Bijarke Ingels Group a first price winning project.
In 2011,she joined JDS Architects in Brussels as an architect. She mainly focuses on competitions and the development of projects in France, Belgium and Turkey. Due to her key role in the project of different scales from single building to masterplan for cities, Olfa has developed her skills and methods while creating her singular approach. Following 2 year she had become an experienced architect at JDS. As major project, she took part of "Euralille bâtiment mixte" a first price winning project in Lille, France ; Caen masterplan an urban reasersh for the city of caen in france, Adana center a stadium in Adana in Turkey , or Square de l’acceuil a housing project in Brussels.

Recently, She was involved in several French Competitions in collaboration with 3XN architects in Copenhagen.
